This exhibition opens as part of a day-long calendar of activities which includes a symposium dedicated to natural materials, art and algorithmic design, and a conference for the required professional continuing education for the members of several associations of engineers and architects, in the expansive auditorium of the Fondazione MIdA at MIdA1.
The exhibition, at the Complesso Monumentale dello Jesus - MiDA3 in the town of Auletta is the first collaboration between BACAS and Fondazione MIdA.
Francescantonio D’Orilia: "The MIdA Foundation believes in this project that summarizes itself, three elements on which we have been insisting a lot for years with our activities: culture, environmental sustainability, innovation. Elements capable of giving a particular local territory an extra regional and national connotation, as universal and inevitable.
Pietro Costa: "Nares Lucanae" is the gateway to ancient Lucania, but it is also the first work of its kind in Italy to combine algorithmic design with natural and renewable resources such as bamboo. The project is part of the larger Digital Bamboo, a long-term exploration of this combination ".
